Learn how to support your colleagues, loved ones and community – by becoming a mental health first aider.
(Yep, it’s just like physical first aid – but for your mental health)
TWO-DAY TRAINING COURSE AT LUMA, OPEN TO ALL!
- When: Tuesday April 29th-30th, 8am-4pm & Wednesday April 30th, 8am-4pm.
- Where: Luma, Northbridge: 227 Newcastle Street, Northbridge
We’re excited hosting our Mental Health First Aid course again, with our licensed instructor, senior counsellor and Alcohol and Other Drug Program Officer – Karen Tovey.
Mental Health First Aid training is an engaging and interactive two-day course that gives participants skills to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health crisis until the professional help comes along or the crisis is resolved. Upon completion, participates become known as MHFAiders, who are equipped with the skills to provide support when it matters most, playing a vital role in reducing stigma and promoting pathways to support for those experiencing mental health problems in our workplaces, communities, schools, and tertiary institutions.
Feel free to reach out to the lovely Karen with any questions: karen@luma.org.au.
