Information and resources to support you with alcohol & other drugs
Women with drug and alcohol dependencies and addictions face barriers in every system, and judgement at every turn. They are always asked ‘why the addiction’ and not ‘why the pain’, even through they are just coping with pain in the best way they know how.
Many women with addiction carry a big story; they may have significant trauma, they may have experienced domestic violence, and many were never safely parented. Yet, they show up in our groups and counselling rooms, doing the best they can to improve their lives.
At Luma, we are dedicated to reducing the stigma around addiction, supporting people with a harm-minimisation approach, and increasing their potential to grow and thrive, with no judgement.
