Students & Volunteers

Students

We offer student placements for tertiary courses in health and social sciences, including but not limited to health promotion, public health, nutrition, addiction studies, counselling, social work, community services and community development.

We take on students for many different timeframes, although it will often be at the commencement of a semester, as per unit requirements. All students need to have a Working with Children (WWC) Check and a police clearance. Student placements need to be organised through your educational institution. Please arrange your course coordinator to reach out to us.

Volunteering

We have several pathways to volunteer at Luma. We accept volunteers through the Mental Health Commission Volunteer Drug and Alcohol Counselling Program, or you can reach out to us directly.
