Let’s talk about culturally inclusive health spaces for Harmony Week!
They create culturally safe spaces.
They understand the barriers that multicultural women face, like language, cultural differences and discrimination, and they’re mindful of removing these barriers wherever possible, so women feel understood and comfortable.
They improve health literacy.
Many women lack access to clear health information that’s culturally relevant to them. Culturally inclusive services will often offer easy-to-understand (and sometimes translated) health information and access to a translator.
They encourage social connection and community building.
Many of us know that migration and cultural differences can lead to loneliness and isolation. Holistic health services will often connect women with community to support their sense of belonging and connection.

At Luma, we make sure women of all backgrounds have access to the care and support they deserve, by doing these three things and a whole lot more.
We also offer specialised family and domestic violence programs for multicultural women.
We hope everyone has a lovely Harmony Week.
