The federal government have announced a $573 million women’s health package.

• If you use the contraceptive pills, Yaz and Yasmin, you’ll save hundreds per year, as they are about to get cheaper after being listed on the PBS (the first in more than 30 years).
• If you’re entering or experiencing menopause, three hormone therapies will be more accesssible soon – Estrogel Pro, Estrogel and Prometrium. They’re also being listed on the PBS.
• When you want to remove your birth control implants and IUDs, you’ll save on out-of-pocket costs, as Medicare rebates for these will increase soon.

This is a huge win for women’s health, and we applaud the Albanese government for investing in creating better futures for women and families in Australia.
